Our verdict
These two share the same 17-motor silicone head, so the faces are close (85 vs 80) and neither walks. Aria is the more complete companion: it rides a wheeled base where Melody stays put below the waist, and its magnetic faces swap persona and voice in seconds. Melody was the cheaper and more portable of the pair, last listed from $95,000 against Aria's $125,000, packing into a suitcase and sold as an open platform for your own AI. Realbotix stopped listing both in October 2026 in favor of its Echo line, so confirm either with the company first.
- Pick Aria if
- Pick Aria if you want the wheeled base and swappable faces, and Realbotix will still build one.
- Pick Melody if
- Pick Melody if portability or running your own AI matters most, and you can live with a robot that is stationary below the waist.
