UBTech Says U1 Deliveries Have Begun, but Won't Say How Many
UBTech says U1 deliveries have started but gives no unit count, and called reports of a store listing showing first deliveries on November 30 'inaccurate'. At its August results it cut the 2026 delivery target to 1,500-2,000 units, against 13,361 orders claimed at launch.
The first batch of the U1 was originally scheduled for September 16. UBTech's official consumer store then reportedly listed a November 30 date for it, and UBTech has answered that "the U1 series has already started delivery", with production and shipping arranged "in batches in the order of customer reservations." It hasn't said how many robots have reached customers.
The number that matters for buyers came earlier. At the June 30 launch, CEO Zhou Jian said orders had passed 13,361 units, and the company said it would try to deliver all domestic orders within the year. On its August results call, CFO Zhang Ju put the 2026 target at 1,500 to 2,000 units. By UBTech's own figures, most people who ordered a U1 shouldn't expect one this year. We haven't seen owner reports yet, so there's still no way to compare the delivered robots with the ones on the launch stage.
